Anti Spark connectors are designed to connect power supply and speed controllers of brushless motors. These connectors are fitted with a circuit for limiting the charging current to the capacitor controller and thus prevent occurance of electric discharge when connected. Longevity of the connector in terms of the number of connections is extremley enlarged by the elimination of electric discharges. Consequently reliability of the connection is also increased.
Anti Spark connectors are also characterized by low contact resistance and mainly by easy use. Two pairs of connectors are enclosed in the packet, one of them has integrated current limitation. Further on there are 8 heat-shrink tubes in black and red colour for any combinations of connectors plugin.
Anti Spark connectors are available in the size of 4mm, 5,5mm, and 8mm.
Maximum current for types of the connector:
Type of the connector | ø 4mm | ø 5,5mm | ø 8 mm |
Continuous current | ø 75A | ø 150A | ø 300A |
Soldering of conductors
Solder proper conductors to the connectors, especially regarding the current load. Firstly solder ASC female connector to the devices for current limitations for capacitor charging. Plug in not used male connector just half way into this female connector. This male connector will function for heat dissipation when soldering and thus prevent melting of the tin on the soldered part with the devices.
Solder remaing connectors in usual way. In case the connectors are contaminated by soldering flux (e.g. rosin) during the soldering, clean the connectors sufficiently, e.g. with ethanol.
In the packet of Anti Spark connectors, there are also heat-shrink tubes that are to be slided onto the connectors and shrunk with hot air gun in the place of solder joint of the connector and the conductor.
In case you solder connectors to the power supply, make sure not to connect positive and negative poles of the accumulator.
Warning
The connector contains fragile ceramic components, please handle it with care.
